Speith's class is not an easy A. The content is pretty cool though if you like European art and architecture.
His tests require quite a bit of memorization. He used to have you write an essay as well which is graded by his TA's.
Loved getting a "C" on my art essay for "grammatical errors" despite having taken 3 semesters of English at LSU, all with A's

I took music appreciation and it wasn't a blowoff course. You had to show up and take lots of notes. Missing three classes was an automatic drop without a Dr excuse.

On the first day? Maybe BRCC would be a better fit

it wasn't a hard class, though. might have been easy for me since i am a pianist.

weren't a lot of the classes like that? i found that even if it's a "blowoff" class it's tough to get an A without attending.

Intro to college 1001 (I think that's what it's called) hre1001(?)
I don't think there's a single person who didn't get an a in that class. And it's 3 credit hours.

It does, but the lady who teaches it is horrendous, at least when I took it in 2014... Harris was her last name iirc.

I liked History of Jazz.
You memorize the names of about 25 songs that you get on Day 1, learn to associate buzz words with their definitions, and you should be fine.
If you enjoy music at all and Grimes still teaches it, then you should at least enjoy they little bit of studying you'll have to do. 1-2 nights of studying per test if you go to class were enough from what I remember.

The world needs ditch diggers too. Dude, its Art 1001. Besides the first two HRE courses, that is probably the easiest Gen Ed.

Insane amounts of memorization for that class. I studied more for Spieth's final than I did for the Chemistry 1202 final.

I took it with a dude. I forget his name but he made it interesting. I enjoyed the concerts. I ended up messing up and not realizing there were no more. the teacher told me there was a local club that was having some plays and if i went and took detailed notes he would count it. I showed up and it was the teacher in drag playing all the female parts.

I dropped out for a few years and when I went back i scheduled that class. IDK how it happened but there was an A session and a B session in that class. I read something wrong and ended up not realizing i was missing class until a couple of days before the final. I showed up and straight up told the teacher honestly what happened and that I'm a dumb arse who can't read a calendar. he gave me his power point slides and let me take the final/midterm together and also let me turn in the papers. I got a B because my attendance grade was a zero.
I never received any emails about the class and it wasn't in moodle so I had no idea. not trying to make it the schools fault but i'm still confused at how I messed that up since I was pretty serious about getting good grades to get back in.
